This album is deeply nostalgic for me. I remember where I was the very first time I heard it, and I remember going out to buy it immediately. I've listened to it hundreds of times over, and the overall sound/vibe of that entire album is reminiscent of my late teenage years.
In regards to when I first heard it.. I was riding around with a sort of buddy/friendly acquaintence who was going through a breakup with his girlfriend. She had cheated on him with another friend of mine, and I was an uncomfortable neutral party who was hanging out with him primarily for support, unaware that I would be riding along to visit his ex-girlfriend's house to witness a heated argument. When he left her house and got back in the car, she had been standing on her front step, and he cranked "Ain't My Job (to fuck you on your birthday)" and peeled out of there. He played it several more times after that. I feel like it may have also been her birthday, but the details are fuzzy.
