Trump's response to this will prove once and for all whether or not Putin has serious kompromat on him.
If in the next day or two, Trump quietly backs off his deal with Zelensky for the rights to the Rare Earths...Putin definitely has something on him.
If Trump doubles down with his usual ego and bravado;
a) I would actually be surprised that his presidency could accomplish one...good...thing by going all in with Ukraine to win the war. and...
b) He'll be heading out a window soon because his greed overtook his loyalty to daddy Poots, losing in the coveted useful idiot status.
Great insight, I said something similar about how Trump responds to Musk as to whether or not Musk is operating under Putin's orders or not - if Trump's ego doesn't get the best of him with everyone referring to "President Musk," then you know god damn well that's not right.
But there's also another dynamic: I think there is a not-insignificant chance that both of these guys will grow so powerful that Putin may start getting nervous about being the one thrown out a window, and rightly so if he's constantly threatening them.
I've been asking all along why the hell Putin is so confident all this shit isn't going to blow up in his fucking face and the only answer I got (and it was from Russians) was "it's a Russian thing" lol.
