A Shapeoko is only a few hundred dollars more than a Bambu X1C and it makes functional weapons that don't jam. This does nothing to prevent people making guns in garages.

That router ain’t cutting steel for those of you thinking it might. But if a gun can be 3d printed it can be routed from plastic too. I wouldn’t wanna shoot any gun made of plastic anyway though

You use gun parts for the actual shooty bits, the plastic is everything else (which is usually plastic these days anyway)

I've cut steel on a shaepoko before, it's just a tad bit slow.
