I don't particularly like sci-fi and I'm not much of a fantasy reader either. Or crime. I read a lot of contemporary fiction, literary fiction, some vintage domestic fiction, kids' books, all sorts. Occasionally non-fiction.
Any recommendations for contemporary fiction?
I just finished Diving, Falling by Kylie Mirmohamadi, which was good if you can deal with some unlikeable characters. Set in Melbourne which I always like. Interesting and well-written.
I liked Red River Road by Anna Downes recently too: a young woman trying to find her sister who went missing caravanning in WA. More of a thriller, definitely a page turner.
Thank you kindly :)
I'll check them out. I'm so out of the loop with modern/contemporary fiction.
