They can shit on the UK as much as they want. They will say things like:

Crime is up
It's going bankrupt
It's boring and everything closes early

Compared to the country I came here, i have

Solid rights whether it's employment, consumer, etc
My kids can get quality education for free
I can build long term plans and work on them without adverse effects

The country I came from runs world wide media campaigns to make it look amazing. It's a bait once you love there.

It's been a while ago, but back when I moved here, a lot of things were surprisingly easy and well organised. Back "home", the usual way of getting a season ticket was still buying a piece of paper at one of the designated kiosks, and show it to the driver. It expires today and it's a cold, rainy evening? Too bad, go and get a new one. Here? Log in and click on renew. Enter a few numbers. Click OK. I love it.
