It's for an old RME 9632. Fingers crossed! Surprisingly they still offer support for it.

Heh yeah well old. Seriously stable card / drivers though. Also feel naked w/o Digicheck (specifically the spectrum analyser) so I'm determined to try and resuscitate it lol.

So are you plugging a pre into the spdif input? Always wondered how these cards worked

I've never actually used the spdif (or ADAT). pretty much only use this pre. Colour comes from plugins.

It's a very simple setup all mainly ITB heh.

In terms of how it works it's like any other sound card it's just no new MBs have legacy PCI.
