Biggest bag fumble in tech history. All they had to do was listen to trans people.

I 100% understand if nobody wants to rehash it, but as someone that doesn't use Bluesky, are there any synopses of what went down?

PS death to transphobes.

For those not on Bluesky, I would also like to point out that we basically spent the first year of that website's existence begging for a real Trust & Safety team, for a whole lot of reasons and incidents that occurred before there was one. And when Jay (CEO of Bluesky) finally hired one, she hired Aaron Rodericks to lead Trust & Safety. The Aaron Rodericks from Twitter's "Trust" & "Safety." Aaron Rodericks immediately began his job posting about how he cares way more about tone and manners than actual content of a message. So basically, as long as your transphobia and bigotry and racism and white supremacy is stated in a polite manner, it's cool with him. But if you get offended by the transphobia etc and speak up for yourself, YOU are getting banned. Also, since the Jesse Singal thing started, he has made it very clear he gives exactly zero fucks what Jesse Singal does.
