Because .world admins, and by extension their mods who have to enforce their policies, are corpo bootlickers

It does seem clear from the messages they write which, coincidentally sound entirely like Reddit marketing tripe, that they are gunning for a corporate buyout and golden parachutes, for a Lemmy instance, which is laughable.

I left when they defederated pirating communities.

Hm, the are federating to dbzer0 where there's a large piracy community.

They specifically block the pirating communities. You can't access them from .world

Oh that's interesting. Yeah, I can't see them with my .world account. I didn't realize they could block individual communities for all users.
