Interesting but I'm unsure how long it will last. The original carbon conductor was glued on. It seems like rubbing graphite on the pads will come off quickly and will come off onto the PCB creating a permanent button press short.
I don't know an appropriate glue but some type of glue on the rubber before applying graphite would make it last longer.
