Tbh this whole post is a goldmine of cis lemmitors discussing how overly sensitive they think trans people are around pronouns.
The word salad is mostly due to them starting to realize they are wrong and don’t know how to make it right without being on the “losing end” of the discussion. A simple apology means they lost an argument on the internet, which your average redditor cannot accept.
Instead they will go into a lengthy nonsensical explanation that eventually ends in the victim of their transgression being wrong.
