  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

Don't these people ever want to retire? Enjoy your final years? So weird.

Trump is only running because he doesn't want to retire to a Federal prison cell.

[–] [email protected] 24 points 2 months ago (2 children)

He also makes bank campaigning. That's far more important to him than anything.
He'll never see a jail cell anyways.

That's also weird to me. As soon as i have enough money to feel kinda secure for the next few months, making more money is not a huge priority anymore. Other interests then become way more important. This too is not optimal, i know. But it always has been like this for me. I wonder why i'm missing the greed gene 🤔

I feel the same way but I don't want the back-and-forth of finding a job. Accumulate enough to retire very modestly and then just enjoy living. I can't imagine trying to hoard more money than I need to survive this lifetime.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 months ago

Same. I'm not horder. I use money when I have it.

Only a jail cell of his own mediocrity.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 months ago

You're crediting him with far too much competence.

His handler has said he has to continue, and he'll obey

If avoiding prison was all he wanted he could just release his medical records. The one who definitely don't say he had a series of strokes.

He's a powerful narcissist, with probable dementia, surrounded by yes-men very heavily invested in this election. I'm not even sure he even has the capacity to fear legal repercussions for his actions.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 months ago

Trump planned for and started this run years ago when his dementia wasn't nearly as advanced.

Besides, plenty of people with serious mental conditions go to prison. There is only one reason he won't be one of them. He's wealthy and only the first part of "Liberty and Justice" applies to him.

Do you think he will do what his idol Hitler did when he lost to try to avoid that?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

Trump would start a nuclear war if he thought he could save himself.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 2 months ago

You can't retire if you have never worked?

Aah, that's what the 15 minutes mc donalds was for.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 months ago

He needs attention and adoration. It’s pathological.
