What? Most maga folks are super into what is happening re Israel/gaza

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Then why hasn't Trump said the words? According to @[email protected] its a slam dunk method to get votes that are currently holding out voting?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (2 children)

Why would he say that to a base that doesn't want to hear it? His base is cool with what's happening in gaza

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 month ago

I’m starting to realize partial_acumen is either an idiot or arguing in bad faith and I don’t know why I argued with them for so long.

[–] [email protected] -1 points 1 month ago (1 children)

So you're saying he would alienate some of his base and lose votes by saying it, right?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Everything I've said has been quite clear. Achieve your own conclusions.

He’s trying to do a gotcha thing where he’s saying that the democrats will lose as much votes as they’ll gain, same as the republicans, if they take an anti genocide stance. Which is a moronic thing to say when democrats are also preemptively blaming leftists for a possible harris loss because they’re taking a hard stance on genocide and trying to pressure Harris to also take this stance. It’s extra mega dumb.

He’s trying to do a gotcha thing

Its not a "gotcha", its the Socratic method.

where he’s saying that the democrats will lose as much votes as they’ll gain, same as the republicans, if they take an anti genocide stance.

No. Democrats will lose more votes than they gain. I don't like Israels actions, but withholding a vote to Harris guarantees far worse treatment of the Muslim world (and anyone not white and rich) under Trump. Its why Harris hasn't said your magic words. I don't like the world is this way, but just wishing it was different isn't enough.

Lol engage fedora

You're JAQin

Well if it doesn’t matter anyway in your opinion, then you won’t mind if I continue to criticize Harris about how she and the Biden administration is handling it and not give a shit if it’s a hard line issue for me that I’m not willing to cross.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Sure, go ahead. Its a free country...for now. I personally don't like how its Israel is being empowered to continue its violence either, but skipping a vote for Harris is crossing your line as you're empowering Trump to do far worse to far more people.

[–] [email protected] -2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Listen man, either the genocide vote matters and my original point stands or it doesn’t and you can fuck off with your guilt trip about not supporting anybody who supports a genocide. You don’t get it have it both ways.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I'm sorry the world isn't as simple as you and I want it to be.

You have 3 choices:

  • Vote for Trump
  • Vote for no one (and may Trump win)
  • Vote for Harris

There is no choice you have that prevents all damage to the world. You can choose to cause the least amount of damage. That would be a vote for Harris.

[–] [email protected] -1 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I can’t believe you just told me that the world isn’t as simple as I think it is and then in the same thought way oversimplified the options and implications of those choices in this election.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

I tried to offer the choices in as simple a view as possible because you only seem to view your choices in the simple.
