Breadtube if it didn't suck.

Post videos you genuinely enjoy and want to share, duh. Celebrate the diversity of interests shared by chapochatters by posting a deep dive into Venetian kelp farming, I dunno. Also media criticism, bite-sized versions of left-wing theory, all the stuff you expected. But I am curious about that kelp farming thing now that you mentioned it.

Low effort / spam videos might be removed, especially weeb content.

There is a cytube that you can paste videos into and watch with whoever happens to be around. It's open submission unless there's something important to commandeer it with at the time.

A weekly watch party happens every Saturday (Sunday down under), with video nominations Saturday-Monday, voting Monday-Thursday. See the pin for whatever stage it's currently in.

I used to watch Cody’s Lab regularly, not so much anymore. I think at one point he and his girlfriend had split up, and he was having a hard time with it, and watching him sorta felt like I was gawking at him. It’s been long enough back that I’m not even sure if what I felt was correct or not but I’ve just never gone back to watching him.

A former coworker of mine who is pretty fucking right wing (he used to wear the proud boy collared shirt/braces/boots to work, and had the 3%’er logo or whatever tattooed over his heart) told me that Cody was right wing, or adjacent around the same time I was watching and so it just sorta reinforced what I felt.. to be honest I have no idea if it’s true or not. Maybe I just grew out of watching him/his content. I dunno.

I never really got that feeling that he was right wing but I wouldn't say I'm super confident either way. He is from like, rural nevada or whatever, so even if he's not conservative, it's pretty hegemonic and he doesn't seem interested in pushing back from the left. That period where he was super depressed was definitely a downer, but like, shit happens and clearly he didn't have a lot of other outlets
