That's very zen, like that story about the guy who picked the spider and then a sider tread fell to the underworld to save him when he died.
I'm pretty compassionate to invertebrates but roaches give me the ick, it was more that it was extremely obvious this is a common occurrence for him.
It's disgusting of course, but the reaction of puting it downstairs is more human than I would have expected from someone like him.
