If I ever see an old vinyl from the soviet bloc I am sure to snap it up.

Today I was not disappointed. I got a 1968 Supraphon recording of Beethoven 1st and 8th symphonies from Czechoslovakia.

omg, it is awesome https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=19jqWhCv2o4

I used to buy joke singles as gifts for an old friend of mine in high school, and I definitely recall buying a few Soviet Army Ensemble ones from the local Op shop ๐Ÿ˜†

Similar but different, I bought the Suicide 2nd album on discogs and after it arrived I noticed it was made in West Germany. Still blows my mind that Germany was like that when I was a child.
