They're probably grandparents already

Assuming they're 30 in that picture and every generation has kids at 20 they don't become great grandparents until 2059.

I'm assuming they're fifteen.

I remember Kentucky in 2009.

Nah, their age is about moving the date up by 10-15 years. It means their kids have kids sooner than if they were fifteen in the photo. It's the oldest they could plausibly be.
