I was wondering about this person, recognized their username (FrightfulHobgoblin), checked the modlog, wow, turns out they posted a good deal of racist and transphobic shit on their lemmy.ml account.
Absolutely hate it when people mix legitimate left-wing causes (anti-US imperialism) with reactionary bullshit like this. All it does is make those causes look worse.
"FrightfulHobgoblin" is also a full blown bazinga techbro cultist that believes a sufficient number of TI-88 calculators bolted together is a direct analogue for a human being.
They've stalked me across multiple threads before, on top of misgendering me, tryna play up the european equivalent of "drop the addy then" like they're really like that, and have tried to downplay both covid and euro crackery before. I haven't had one good interaction with them in twelve months time across two different accts.
I knew that computer touching misanthropic creep was one of the worst active users on the site, but what the fuck. I guess all those "humans are just sloshy meat computers and human consciousness is an illusion whatever the fuck that means" techbro sermons really got internalized and you weren't even a living feeling being to them.
