It was also one of the very first 3 anime series aired in Poland ever, in 1990 by the pirate TV, others were Yattaman and Captain Tsubasa but i couldn't remember the third one, thanks.
That's pretty cool to know. My very first anime experience was Mazinger, localized as "Tranzor Z." Was a good time, got me started on mechas.
It also featured a female sidekick mecha with boob missiles. Even as a preschooler I loved that.
Also fun fact: every anime in Poland for first few years were either in French or Italian dubbing, which makes discussions about Dragon Ball for example pretty funny, when characters like Hercules (Mr. Satan) or Little Heart Satan (Piccolo) appear.
