[–] user134450@feddit.org 3 points 2 years ago (1 child) So what do you think when you work with HeLas? permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] KijinSeija@lemmy.world 1 point 2 years ago I have read “The Immortal Life Of Henrietta Lacks” and absolutely find it appalling that her cells were taken without her consent, and she and her family was never properly compensated. I’ve only worked with HeLa cells once, and they were super hardy and easy to grow. Even if you forget to check on them for a week, they’ll start growing on top of each other when the monolayer becomes fully confluent. Easy to transfect as well. permalink fedilink source parent
