She then blindfolded herself. Jane then failed to find the block with her hands, and cried, "What shall I do? Where is it?" Probably Sir Thomas Brydges, the Deputy Lieutenant of the Tower, helped her find her way

At the time of her execution, Jane was either 16 or 17 years old.

The poor girl wouldn't be an accountable adult under laws for most non-violent crimes in a modern society, much less purely political ones.
