She's right to be against the genocide, but claiming "this conflict is THOUSANDS of years old" doesn't make any sense. Zionism got its start in the late 19th century

Settler colonialism isn't a topic they would normally oppose unless they see 100s of examples of children bleeding out.
Much easier for them to understand it as a holy war where one side went overboard than understanding Zionism as the modern incarnation of manifest destiny or lebensraum.
Well as the other reply says, I guess some people only think shit like fascism died off with ww2 and don't think much of settler colonialism. To them its bewildering that other fascist groups exist other than nazis and they pursue lebensraum.
