Thanks. I have newpipe installed, which setting would enable newpipe to open instead of YouTube?

'Open by Default' in app settings though I would have thought once you installed, it would have asked which app player you wanted to set as default. I always select 'Just Once' because sometimes popup player is preferred over video player or background.

Hopefully pictures are self-explanatory.

Note: Tubular is the sponsorblock fork of Newpipe.

Thanks. If I accidentally clicked "always" how can I get that option to pop up again?

Edit; NM figured it out, in newpipe settings under "behavior" "video open option" I just switched to "always ask" so I can see how the different options work as I get familiar and then will choose the one I prefer.

Something like Settings > apps> default apps > opening links > newpipe Then select the urls you want to open in newpipe. Also select the YouTube app and don't allow it to open links
