Define "land" - if a part falls off but you survive it, does that still count? :-P

A good landing is one you walk away from.

A great landing is one where you can still use the airplane afterwards.

Look at Mr. Fancy flight pants over here with his high demands!

We now call that an Air Bus.

all planes land. it's the speed of the descent that matters.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 5 months ago (1 children)

I think even if it hits and explodes, as long as it's on land and not water that qualifies.

What if a part falls off, and while everyone actually on the plane survives, the part hit some people who died as a result?

[–] [email protected] 9 points 5 months ago

Eh, I'd still call it a win by Boeing's standards

[–] [email protected] 3 points 5 months ago (1 children)

Good question. It's a little unclear until the group figures out what the mysteries numbers are for, and why the crazy old man can suddenly walk again.

Is that from Lost? I never bothered to finish it when I heard how disappointed people were in how it ended... should I?

[–] [email protected] 4 points 5 months ago (1 children)

Yep. I also never finished it. It got incoherent, and I heard it didn't really get better at the end.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 5 months ago

I'm not sure I ever got past season 1, or maybe 2... :-P

Anyway, there are way better TV shows nowadays. Well, not so much lately, but from then until now. Along those lines, The 100 springs to mind:-D.

Oh man... I want to say yes, but then what happens if the plane needs to do an emergency water landing afterwards... or would that be an emergency watering???? I can't handle this stress!!!!!!

[–] [email protected] 2 points 5 months ago (1 children)

No worries, death will cure all of whatever bothers you, and make sure that you never have any more issues for as long as you live! Uh... wait a minute there...

[–] [email protected] 1 points 5 months ago (1 children)

So what you're saying is, I should exclusively fly on Boeing planes?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 5 months ago (1 children)

That depends - do you want an express ticket out of this hellscape? :-P

[–] [email protected] 2 points 5 months ago (1 children)

I mean, if it's gonna happen, what better way than on a giant tube full of screaming people freaking out for the last few moments of my life?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 5 months ago (1 children)

I get you - you mean in exctasy that they don't have to worry about paying next month's rent, r-r-right? :-D

I wonder what manufacturer of planes the Boeing CEOs fly? But even aside from private chartered flights, they are so rich they probably just have everyone come to them:-(.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 5 months ago

They don't fly, that's for plebs. They teleport
