Yeah, I'm not sure what point he's trying to prove. Of course the industry is safe, that's what all the safety requirements when building and operating a submarine is all about.

    There are standards, that's why the OceanGate rich fools also had to sign a waiver acknowledging that the craft was not certified at all

    The standards are if James Cameron writes you a letter that says "Damn dude you're gonna fucking die you dumb motherfucker. Eywa is gonna hear you when you're becoming crab food at the bottom of the ocean." You have to up your game.

    James Cameron has the woke mind virus, do not listen to him billionaires like Elon Musk. Build sheet metal tubes and plunge yourselves to the darkest depths of the ocean it's safe.

    Like with most thing there's all those requirements are to get government funding. (That red tape you hear people who don't know what delta p means whining about)
