Yes, it has been hiding in plain sight for months.

I kept wondering if I had posted this pic before, but it looks to be the one I used as my profile pic for the last few months. It's nice to know who took the picture now.

Agreed. It's always nice to be able to find out who took the picture, what their story behind it is, or how they found the owl, etc

I had to look twice, and then I really looked at how detailed the patterns on the feathers are... Nature is crazy!

I really like how it matches both the inner and outer bark of the tree here.

As tiny as it is in person, you'd never know it was there.

Exactly, we can see it cause the image is a close up and we're looking for it (the owl). Would be neat to try and look at wider-scale pictures to play "Spot the Owl" lol!
