Average hunter: well, I have to kill an animal so this trip isn't a total waste!

If I wasn't too disgusted by this, I'd make a Duck Hunt joke.

Hot take: hunting is not intrinsically bad. Indigenous people hunted buffalo and had a much different relationship with the land and the "prey" animal.

Hunting itself is not what is bad here, it is the indiscriminate killing of one's own pet where domestication is also worth scrutiny.

I agree with veganism in a moral sense but this ain't it bud.
