Came across multiple such post on Reddit across IndiaVerse subreddits. He needed around ₹19,00,000 (~$23,000) to save his baby, of which ₹17,81,180 (~$21,000) has been crowdfunded. His kid has a very rare liver condition called the Crigler-Najjar Syndrome.

This guy has requested folks from r/india, also from a bunch of young adults and teens to pay what little they can, for his baby. Most of these people are themselves from the lower-middle class families, and doing their best to give what little they can, giving around ₹100-500.

The fact that we are supposed to beg to our fellow worker for help, who are themselves impoverished, while the one who steals our wage does not give a crap about us, boggles me.

See that table? Those are just the top ten billionaires. Had I continued adding the 200, your jaws would have probably dropped.

Why don't they just stop incinerating this planet?

Extremely not-fun fact: collectively, humanity currently produces more than enough food for every person. But a huge part of it is either wasted or inaccessible by people that need them, which usually results in them not going to anyone and being wasted, which is why we still have food scarcity.

Companies don't pay for four-star reviews, but a person giving a four-star review liked the product overall.

This is because then your civil and human rights are finally recognized, the rest of the laws that already exist still does apply to you and no responsibilities are strip away from you, for example, taxes.

Most of the time on Reddit, people didn’t read the linked article 😆

Its a very interesting feeling. On one hand Im proud because Lemmy has come so far. Two years ago there was only one instance dev.lemmy.ml and no federation. On the other hand disappointed, because some people are unable to appreciate how much time and work I put into this project. Its especially ironic that these attacks are coming from people who pretend to represent the working class.
