Canberra can be seen in the distance, you might be able to spot Black Mountain Tower just below the horizon on the left hand side.

For an idea of scale look for the guy sitting on the top of the rocks on the right hand side...

On the horizon you can see some snow remaining on Mt Bimberi (left) and Mt Gingera (right), respectively the highest and second highest mountains in the ACT.

Mt Coree trig point looking good today - luckily the wowsers hadn't shut the gate yet. Looking good around Bulls Head too and Mt Franklin road was open until the Snow Gum gate.

I just moved out of the house where these were taken from. Nice memory.

The Pixelfed instance I'm on is shutting down so it's photo time here I guess 🙃

Looks complicated (aussie.zone)

Was a nice day for whatever is going on here. More of them tried to get in on the action but moved on (or pehaps they were moved on). Another joined later on somewhere in the middle of the group. It's hard to describe and the video I shot isn't very clear. It joined the group from one end, moving it's legs (or interlinkinging them?) one and then two and then three and then four and then five and so on at a time. This include the one that was 'on top' having to do the same as the joiner shimmied it's way into the group.

First time I've seen a grub above ground of its own volition.

About a handspan wide, more than half a meter deep (can't see all the way in at any angle), deep under my house.

Notice in our building about the lift replacement has a scary picture.

I thought it would be brief but this pic was taken a couple of hours after the first one that I took.

The other night I finally got to combine a break in the clouds that kept covering the western skyline with me actually having my camera on me (I'd seen it last weekend at a friends place but didn't have my camera there - definitely fainter now but was still just visible to the naked eye).
