Like to talk about photography, cameras, and anything related? This is the place to do it!

I just moved out of the house where these were taken from. Nice memory.

The Pixelfed instance I'm on is shutting down so it's photo time here I guess ๐Ÿ™ƒ

I liked /r/foundpaper when I hung out there.

Was a nice day for whatever is going on here. More of them tried to get in on the action but moved on (or pehaps they were moved on). Another joined later on somewhere in the middle of the group. It's hard to describe and the video I shot isn't very clear. It joined the group from one end, moving it's legs (or interlinkinging them?) one and then two and then three and then four and then five and so on at a time. This include the one that was 'on top' having to do the same as the joiner shimmied it's way into the group.

Gonna get someone's toe maybe, or their doggies paw.

First time I've seen a grub above ground of its own volition.

About a handspan wide, more than half a meter deep (can't see all the way in at any angle), deep under my house.

Notice in our building about the lift replacement has a scary picture.

It's hot today but not as hot as it meant to be tomorrow apparently.

I thought it would be brief but this pic was taken a couple of hours after the first one that I took.

The other night I finally got to combine a break in the clouds that kept covering the western skyline with me actually having my camera on me (I'd seen it last weekend at a friends place but didn't have my camera there - definitely fainter now but was still just visible to the naked eye).

Photo taken in Victoria, some time 8:45 PM 7th Oct - 12:45 AM 8th Oct.

Many more pics in the original post on FB: https://www.facebook.com/groups/auroraaustralia/posts/2064729400609152/

That group is great overall, and Arun is really dedicated in providing up to date information if you're interested in seeing the aurora. He published an Australian guide book about it in June this year.
