Welcome to the rabbit hole of energy storage.

Turns out nobody cares about the capacity but about the discharge rate. Which is why you'll often hear about how many Gigawatts a certain energy storage project has, and nothing about GWh.

If you think about it for a bit, it does make sense. A lot of solutions would take days to fully discharge, so you might think "oh we have an entire city's energy consumption for a week in some storage", but in reality you could maybe power one neighborhood with that cuz of the discharge rate.

So, capacity refers to the "output capacity".

And most of the days that's what lemmy sounds like "I never had sex, this attractive guy has slept with too many girls, we gotta make sure there's an equal distribution of girls among all of us".

We can still talk about how that situation is unfair, but you'll never convince me that you're neither jealous nor horny.

The whole point of creating it was so that at least everyone gets to talk.

Any union that would force any sort of rules couldn't exist. But a one with no commitments does exist, and countries talk, and sometimes things happen when it's not in a direct conflict of major powers.

Lemmy somehow always imagines some higher international power existing and also that power somehow ruling in accordance with their beliefs. I'm not sure how they imagine that would actually work and who would enforce the order.
