That’s pretty sad. It’s a word with various meanings, you can’t just ban the word outright. In the medical community we might say that a chemical can “retard growth of cells.” Properly used it’s a viable scientific term.

If you argue for a cause like affordable housing for everyone, is it necessarily hypocritical if you also own investment properties? by vurt_konnegut in c/nostupidquestions@lemmy.world

Interest rates are more of a significant variable. At 7%+ interest, renting will be cheaper.
