I'm not sure if the title anymore but read a really interesting article about the soldiers living on that grounded ship, it's a crazy place to be staying, just an abandoned ship exactly as it appears. Very interesting topic.
I suppose that's a fair point, although I thought they didn't have access to your data in terms of email content. I agree with the point about not putting all your eggs in one basket but I'd seriously consider them for email only.
Is your suggestion to self host your email or not use email? I'm not sure why you couldn't find a company that you do trust, and proton seems to be one of the most likely candidates.

I use the last Swype apk with network access blocked in NetGuard, because I can't go without swipe typing. The personal dictionary still works.
I found with gboard and swiftkey the dictionary didn't save words without network connectivity.

The EDM scene is usually pretty inclusive. If you go there as an older man and just enjoy yourself and dance you'll be fine.

The point is fair, if you want to fit in at any event, because you do in fact care, then it helps to dress in a manner that suits the general style of that event.
If you don't care, wear what you want. I'm not sure why you are getting offended by something so trivial that was not directed at you.
It's how human nature works, before you meet sometime, all you can judge them on is their appearance. Are they wearing a filthy beard and rags at a concert? Probably a crazy hobo. Are they past middle age and wearing a mankini? Probably a big borat fan and a bit of a weirdo.
It's not a difficult concept and you don't have to care if you don't want to. It's all good.
