Dude I'm fucking wheezing while having hotel breakfast. What is this style of humor called? It's like a perfect combination of all my worst fears somehow made hilarious.

It used to be a way bigger deal when computers were very memory scarce, if you needed to say, represent 1024 values, that means you'd use 10 bits or 2 bytes, the remaining 6 bits could be used to store other related information like flags but more often than not it would be waste (unused values that still have to be represented as 0s)

These numbers are pretty arbitrary nowadays but they still show up a lot in computing. They didn't choose 256 so they could represent it in a byte, the real reason is probably that groups larger than 256 can't realistically be managed by users.

That's my 2¢ anyways.

There isn't anything wrong with a traditional worldview but it certainly doesn't fit most modern relationships. Either way I think all young men go through an idiot phase where it's easier to complain about the systems in place then to be introspective and improve yourself. I'm saying most people usually go through a redpill phase and if they are able to sympathize then it's usually a short phase. The bigger worry for me is that it seems a larger and larger amount of men are unable to sympathize with others.

It's insane to me that conservatives hide behind religion and idolize people with incomprehensible amounts of wealth. It also occurs to me that none of these extremely wealthy people who are seen as leaders have any grasp on the teachings of Christianity and are not concerned with the afterlife.

I'm not saying having wealth is inherently sinful but having the means to effect positive change and instead continuing to line your pockets while the world burns when you already have enough wealth to live a hundred or thousand lifetimes in absolute luxury probably earns you a special place in hell, if it exists.

To the users yes, or coax(DOCSIS), how they get to the Internet doesn't really matter, the challenge for rural communities is how they connect to the urban networks(backhaul).

A lot of rural towns are actually serviced by wireless point to point radios. They have some impressive throughput capabilities but nowhere near what fiber can provide. Also, they are affected by environmental factors like weather or wildlife (https://youtu.be/cZkAP-CQlhA)

ISPs don't really want to spend millions of dollars to run fiber through mountains to service a town of 4 or 5 thousand people, it would be a poor investment, this is where government programs like above can be useful in then allowing that town or region to have better Internet.

They can probably make the argument that starlink is cheaper but it's not a long term solution.

Bill Burr is probably the only person I know of who didn't completely change once he got rich and famous, he's a national treasure at this point

Zebras are scary AF man. They will bite you and are very food aggressive. I went through one of these petting drive through zoos years ago, they have signs posted that say not to feed the zebras.... After feeding cows, bulls, horses, ostriches(which were scariest) I forgot to be cautious with the zebra. I tried to feed one and it bit down on my hand extremely hard. All the other animals were super chill and they grab the food with their lips/tongue but zebras seem to not be able to restrain themselves. They're crazy

As far as I know, the only thing that the new python integration helps with is that users don't have to install Python or have to know how to use pip to install packages like pandas, because Python doesn't run locally. It is neat how you can visualize data and show it inline with the Excel document though. My industry is very regulated, so we won't be able to use it since the data you pass to Python goes to Azure for processing

There's a silver lining of good intentions here... Immigration court is different from state to state. Texas only approves 35% of asylum seekers. Meaning if you're an illegal in Texas wanting a pathway to legal residency, you're not likely to get it there. Meanwhile, in blue states such as in NY, it's 69% or higher. I would say majority of asylum seekers are seeking asylum for legitimate reasons. My wife tells stories that are very common to her family and other people from Honduras... The drug cartels rule with impunity, they have had family kidnapped for ransom, seeing people killed by gun violence is very normal, etc.

Anyways, typically, when USCIS finishes your intake, you have to be released to the custody of a friend or relative who accepts responsibility for you and you are given to their custody in their state of residence. You can't just ask to be taken to a liberal state, you have to have family there. Republicans are being cute in how they're dealing with immigration, but for the immigrants themselves, it's a favorable outcome.

It's dry humor. Have you ever seen Borat or Ali G? Same genre

Thanks. Balancing cautionary fears and risk is delicate. But I've learned that risk really gives life flavor... can't live happily without it. Just need to always keep your ego in check

I think you're right. Despite my bandwagon fandom, I Believe Go is more appropriate for my needs. I think a compiled language with more intuitive parallelism is what I need
