Ah interesting. My instance went down overnight (before your pin update) and I brought it back online this morning (after your pin update). It must have pulled the new pinned thread when it came back online but missed the update to the existing one. I assume it will figure itself out in a future sync

I am using the web UI currently see 2 pinned threads, "TV Tuesday" and "Causal Sunday". Maybe the app is doing something odd for you?

It does become very fragmented. A post on my single-user server is going to be low down the rankings compared to the same post on a subreddit with the weight of the reddit domain name behind it. I'm also not entirely sure if/how content here gets indexed, especially when it appears under different federated domains. Content discovery is very different in a distributed world.
