They call it: funflation.

No. You made that up and now you're calling it that. I hate these basic-ass brainwashing media outlets so much.

Is Good Morning America just ads disguised as news?

Does anyone know if there's a domain blocklist for smart TV telemetry? If so, I could easily put it into my DNS server, like I already do for ads.

I'd like to continue using my streaming apps without resorting to yet another device. I have an HTPC that runs KODI but I think it'd be a pain to replace all of my streaming apps.

Honestly who fucking cares if DOGE is actually efficient. Elon is an appointed executive branch official who hasn't been confirmed by the senate. He is wielding power unconstitutionally and needs to be removed immediately.

My point wasn't so much that I think RED is shady but that exposing my IP seems like an unnecessary requirement to join. Why can I not have my membership tracked via an anonymous account? If they are concerned about account harvesting or something, then the interview already seems like a good enough measure, accompanied by seed ratio minimums.

It's so ironic how many downvotes this is getting in the context of this thread.

Scientists have been saying these same things my entire life. While they are absolutely correct, the necessary change does not seem to be a priority for leaders. At best it gets lip service and underwhelming commitments. At worst conservatives completely deny the problem. We have social issues blocking our scientific solutions.

I don't think our existing leadership is capable of being proactive, we are always slow and reactive. We need more radical social change, which I only see happening once a certain generation dies and another takes their place.

They should compare defect rate with the Go teams. I'm curious if the advertised benefits of Rust's type system give some practical advantage.

EDIT: Just watched the actual talk. Apparently they did this comparison, and found that Rust has fewer defects when compared to Go.

Yea this looks productive.

Imagine how useless the LSP suggestions are.

Humans are also now incentivized to safeguard their intellectual property from AI to keep a competitive advantage.

Yea it is ultimately on the admins, but Lemmy just needs to not make it hard to comply with GDPR. So it's up to admins to raise issues when Lemmy is seen as an obstacle to compliance, and it's up to devs to listen and implement compliance features.
