Our department of transportation gives updates over AM radio and it’s easier to do while driving vs going into the 511 app to see what’s up. And since it’s statewide it’s pretty useful. That’s the only thing I use AM for. They’ve got signs in major corridors that flash to tell you there’s a new message. Old school, but reliable.
These controllers are damn near unobtainium.
I mean, you can do the same thing with a steam deck if you have it. I got one of those anker docks with an RJ45 and ran CAT6 from where my fios ONT hits my network switch and where my big gaming pc is. The wireless streaming sucks big time and is completely unreliable.

We would need some sort of actual movement into public transport first. The original cash for clunkers was awful for the used car market in such a way that it affected the poorer population. It used to be easy to grab a decently used but neglected car for cheap and spend enough to keep it out of the junkyard for a few years more. I remember being able to grab a 20 year old used truck that was quite beat for $800 all day.
The cash for clunkers removed that cheap tier of used vehicle and forced people to buy new which exacerbated the new car purchase price. It’s only ever climbed quickly ever since as manufacturers took that as “people don’t want cheap cars, only luxury” and now options are fairly garbage.
And Covid did a number on prices too that hasn’t recovered. I purchased a new Golf in 2015 (right before dieselgate) for $16k as it was a base model with a standard trans. You can’t get that anymore.
Right. I guess I should have clarified that it works be enough for each service member to be issued at least one firearm at the same time. From what I’ve gathered everything is shared, and those deployed overseas supplied their own magazines in some cases.
Americans buy a shit ton of guns every year. In just one day 200,000 background checks were submitted. If that’s at least one firearm per check (which I think you can put 4-8 per check) which is enough to arm the marine core.
I think it’s in the pipeline, and we can only hope. And if ford doesn’t do it, hopefully the Slate Truck gains traction.

It’s annoying as ford has repeatedly stated they won’t being the plug in hybrid ranger that gets 30 miles on a charge to the US because it will cannibalize sales from the maverick and f150 lightning….
I agree. Finding a car that is front wheel drive and not 1000 hp is ridiculous.
That’s the thing, most of these trucks were ~$50,000. But people see the ~220 mile range on the base truck and overdid it on range anxiety and blew the problem way out of proportion.
This was possibly a stock car at some point, I can’t dig up much information other than the fact that it may not have been raced and was just meant to look the part.
I always thought these would be really cool with something like a 7mgte swap. Or really any inline 6.
Even a naturally aspirated 2jz, although both might be a bit on the heavy side.
