Tbh I'm going for the steam deck due to its portability and ability to play my existing library. I've made some life decisions that will make me travel a lot around countries or states so steam deck is the perfect pick for me. I don't really play more than 1-3 games that I play everyday and all of them run perfectly on the deck.

Earlier I thought of going for a PS5/6 but it wasn't really economical plus given my frequent rate of travel, its not feasible.

Right now, I play my games on a Thinkpad that struggles to do a lot of multi tasking stuff. Its only 2 years old but took a bad beating in terms of performance. I'm gonna get the last juice out of this laptop and continue my gaming on the deck

yep but with the type of games I play, they wont fit in. 512gb SD card is barely affordable for me. Can't think about a SSD

I used to be that until I realised that the satisfaction of finishing a game is much better. Since I buy my games, I feel better when I finish the game that I bought

I had a mixed feeling about that one but it was a unique AC experience. Uncharted was amazing. I honestly miss my playstation because of it but given my life decisions I think steam deck would be the perfect choice.

That was almost 18 years ago so I dont remember much but i do remember playing SNES and NES games and some adobe flash games during that time. Nothing major happened during all these 18 years. My gaming activity peaked last year. Earlier years, I only used to finish 1-3 games tops. This year its almost 40. Yes. 40 games in a single year

My backlog list has ~43 games in it. Most of which were dropped a few hours into the game. Those are by far, the toughest games that I mentally need to get back to and finish them

I have 90 hours in no man’s sky and I got pretty burnt out on it. After a certain point, every planet feels the same and lifeless.

As long as it has fast travel I don’t mind having a big open world but if the open world itself feels empty without much life then I’m immediately turned off by the game

Yep. The last garage has a panda that we feed bamboo everyday.

Once we sort out our material stuff and farms we all gotta go get some horses. Got plenty of horse Armor

These days I prefer reading manuals and documentation to get the most basic version of anything running and then build up on it. If anything goes wrong, I go to stackoverflow

Just use the live installer, it includes the calamares installer which is as simple as installation in mint.
