I think the issue is with normalizing unhealthy bodies. idc how you look as long as you're healthy, but society is becoming increasingly accepting of obviously unhealthy lifestyles and bodies. It's no better than anorexia.

Tbf, that's probably because most CS majors at T20 schools get a math minor as well because of the obscene amount of math they have to take.

Our society doesn't cater to them. They decided that public schools weren't good enough so they went and made their own. I completely agree with them, public schools do suck.

People shouldn't be allowed to choose a better education for their children? Private schools aren't hurting anybody.

This isn't anywhere close to being an Islamic thing tbh. The Persians and Ottomans loved historical and foreign stuff, the Taliban is just a bunch of ignorant goat herders. Afghanistan has never had a tradition of scholarship and academia so it's no surprise that a lot of people there don't care about their history.

What options are there really other than capitalism, communism, and everything that mixes the two?

Communism will save the environment.

Idk why you're being downvoted. It's always better to employ people and allow them to earn money rather than give them free stuff and destroy a local industry.

Now that the hype's died down for the game, what's everyone's opinions about the game? Personally, I'm having more fun with it than I have with most other FPS games.

I asked this in askhistorians as well but it's not active (it should be though!).

There are simply some communities I can't find on Lemmy. For example, I use subreddits based on admissions to specific colleges that would never be able to function on Lemmy due to its size. I'd much prefer to abandon Reddit altogether but the information I need is usually only there.
