An easy shave on a beautiful morning. I'm busy with errands today and then going to the symphony with my wife this evening. Should be fun!

I signed a contract this week to work for a new employer starting mid-February! β¨
I'll need to be in the office a few days a week, which will be a pretty big change, but the pay and opportunity for growth are both a definite step up for me. Very excited!

A pleasant bluesday shave (a la @[email protected]). The Bolzano blade performed really well in the Legacy razor. Quite pleased with the results.

Thursday, January 09, 2025: Theme Thursday - Shackleton Day
On theme today with Black Ice. I don't typically reach for a mentholated soap, but I do enjoy this one. I'm a sucker for anise.
Also my first shave with the new-to-me 921-M. It's a very nice razor, and it's definitely a keeper. I only did two passes to give my neck a break from yesterday, but I still had excellent results.
I read Endurance: Shackleton's Incredible Voyage by Alfred Lansing when I was a kid. I think I randomly stumbled across it in a library one summer. The story always stuck with me as an incredible example of leadership, perseverance, and survival. And, quite honestly, a huge dose of luck. I highly recommend it if you haven't read it. It's an incredible story.

I had good results from my first shave with this Flying Wing, though it was a rough shave overall. Somehow, I woke up with razor burn on my neck that wasn't there when I went to sleep...

Last night, I found a good deal on eBay for a GEM Micromatic Flying Wing razor. In January, I plan to work on my SE shaving technique, starting today with the MMOC.
Ended the shave with the 2024 scent of the year. Here's to a great 2025!
Monday, November 25, 2024: FLS
Samhain is a great scent for a gray, rainy morning. This was perhaps the best lather I've gotten from SW so far. I don't know what I did differently -- quite likely I just loaded heavier and used more water -- but it was lovely.

I very much want to try the TF frag. I have the Stirling EdT and feel that it wears off pretty quickly (as is typical for their frags). No shade at all, theyβre so affordable that I feel 100% fine reapplying if needed. :)
How strong/long lasting do you find the TF?
Autumn Glory is a good one, did you buy a full tub?

Airbud for me today, so I went with the full DFTR trick for the first time. Its boozy, figgy, woody, green fragrance was a great start to the day. I'm glad I brought this in after DJ piqued my curiosity. Great stuff.
