I had two promising job interviews this week, both of which seem likely to give me an offer next week!
Feels good. When I was first transitioning into this industry (software development), it was much more difficult to land interviews and gain traction. It’s been way easier this time around.

Yeah I was surprised that it was so sweet. I probably shouldn’t have been given the scent notes include vanilla and red fruit! :)
I’m happy to have it though. I enjoy the scent and the ZM lather is always great for me.

This is my first shave with The Rambler. It's a bit sweeter than I expected, but it still has a very nice scent. To my nose, it seems pretty similar to Roam Two. I didn't get much tobacco in the soap, but it's definitely prominent in the splash.

First shave with my new-to-me MMOC went pretty well. It certainly feels more aggressive than my other GEM, a first-gen Clog-Pruf.
I was slightly sloppy around my chin and got a couple of weepers. I think I just need to slow down a bit more and focus on my angle.
Good results overall though. It's an impressive little razor.

An excellent shave with minimal irritation. I really love the scent and performance of SSL.
I'm still not sure about this knot. It definitely doesn't immediately impress me like the Quartermoon did. It's more difficult to splay, which I guess means it has more backbone? I did set it about as high as I could to hopefully minimize this.
Either way, the bristles are plenty soft. Feels much nicer than the Yaqi synthetic I was using previously.

On theme with GTB, this is easily my lowest soap, though I probably still have 20+ shaves left. It's the only soap where I can see the bottom of the tub, though.
I'm lying low today and recovering from the festivities. I'm very glad I won't have to be back at work until the new year.

A much more comfortable shave with the Clog-Pruf this morning. I heeded advice and used much less pressure, and got away with no irritation and a really close shave.
Leviathan into Oro Valley is a nice combination for sure.

Friday, November 15, 2024: FLS - Fougère Meets Stag Friday
Angelique is a lovely scent that highlights citrus and florals. In the end, I felt like a contrast, so I went with Midnigh Stag for the frag. It was an interesting contrast, for sure, but the strength of Stag completely overpowered the scent of the soap and splash.
No complaints.
The Super Speed gave excellent results this morning. This razor is a real winner as long as I remember to use a very light touch.

The hunt continues. I'm almost at full-on soap donut status.
I'd love to get this Wallflower scent in soap form if TSF ever puts it out. I'll have to keep an eye out. It's a delightful scent.
