Not the answer you are waiting but there is something wrong with your shield, I have a 2015 and 2019 Shield and both are just very good even if the first one has nearly 10 years
Hot water can also be useful in some case (not boiling hot), also help to avoid burned marked due to a flame (in particular with white filament)
Not sure that's a leak but couple of pictures available. Will add them later
You can check here if a solution suits your need https://www.home-assistant.io/docs/energy/electricity-grid/
Long time I haven't used it but nova video player should do it
A complete and affordable setup that will merge anything you want inside a single app will be by using home assistant. But while it is much easier to setup and maintain than a few years ago, selling the house will require new owner to have a few tech knowledge. You also have to make sure that your setup is designed to be used by all family whatever there age and knowledge (and it isn't always simple)
Describing everything available that would make it a perfect place will take a very very long comment but here are some hint, look at ethernet cameras instead of wifi, ZigBee and zwave instead of wifi for most of the devices as those protocols are designed for smart homes unlike wifi, use as less as possible cloud base solution.
As a starter, you can check for temperatures/humidity sensors, contact sensors for doors/windows, automated curtains, switches, presence detection, lights, leak detectors, weather station, energy monitoring,...
Don't have particular case to recommend as the one I have has been printed but get one where you can add an SSD. SD card are not well suited for home assistant due to the amount of overwriting.
ZigBee are not designed for high bandwidth applications but +1 for Home assistant
If z2m, zwavejs,... Are installed from the adon store of HA, all you have to do is create a full backup of HA, and all your automations will be saved and restored automatically.
I just tried and I think they are limitations on numerous android OS.
It isn't exactly a widget but what I have been able to do is create a shortcut when long pressing home assistant app icon on my phone
To do so, go to home assistant app settings/compagnon app/shortcut Give it a name and description, not too short according to documentation (see below), next add under dahsboard
/lovelace/home?conversation=1
https://companion.home-assistant.io/docs/integrations/android-shortcuts/
Edit: added another screenshot from settings (sorry in french but that should help). This was just a quick test, this is why I named it assist_widget. You can also change icon type
Check HA Devs videos called "year of the voice" to know everything you have missed. Also atom echo isn't really a smart speaker, more a micro with a possible always listening mode

For some reason, trakt si giving a 24h token... I just found this https://github.com/redd-ravenn/stremio-trakt-addon (but haven't tried it yet) It has an automatic token refresh so in theory that should work.
