Almost like its wealth disparity, not age, is causing the problem after all!

Dreams? What about when it locks up and plays a virtual 200db 5khz tone for the rest of your life?

If you're going broke while working then getting fired for striking is kinda moot. Hopefully they get what they are asking for.

Also, it super pisses me off that most people see striking employees, teachers and nurses in particular, as greedy or lazy. Raise your own fucking kids and treat your own illnesses if it is so easy.

As a bearded man who built a cannon, has sailed on a large body of water and channels a torrent of bits across his home network. Yar!

The rapid phaseout of sulphur in marine fuels likely reduced global SO2 emissions from marine fuels by around 8.5MtSO2 per year, to around 2.5 MtSO2 per year. This represents an abrupt decline in global SO2 emissions of around 10% after 2020.

Given the strong cooling impact of SO2, a 10% reduction in emissions of SO2 will result in additional global warming.

Sigh

Most people don't even think about software, they will happily use whatever came on their device by default. The next time you buy a new phone or laptop and it is crammed full of trash software it is because people DO NOT think about software choices at all.

Spent all of my retirement savings to buy 1/4 of a house that will take 30 years to pay off. If I'm lucky I can start saving again when I'm 65.

If you use strong passwords and keep an eye on your logs you are no less safe than any other public facing entity. I've had a bunch of services exposed since 2020 so far no one has even bothered to brute the basic auth on Apache (though bot nets take a run at SSH a few times a year).

Because that's what they do. Find any reason to feel slighted by 'the other countries' so they can hold it against them.
