Most people don't have the manual dexterity or mechanical intuition to get into trades. Millwrighting, welding, plumbing and electrician-ing all require a person who is clever enough to understand and repair equipment that they have only just seen. Most people have a hard time applying a screen protector for a phone they have owned for months.

Domestic manufacturing is where Canada/USA should be aiming to create jobs. All skill levels are required and automated facilities still need humans. The positions are a lot more varied now, with most tasks being those that would require expensive vision systems or minor problem solving. Domestic manufacturing might help with some of the bull shit global supply chain issues as well.

It was spelled out more clearly in the comics. They even trained human minds to do tasks that the machines could not/did not want to do.

Most people don't have a 'green' option for which they can vote.

We won’t touch the Greenbelt.

-Doug Ford, 2018

Ford says he's confident nothing criminal took place in Greenbelt land swap amid RCMP probe.

-CBC news, 2023

Not that he was a green leaning politician to begin with but this is just another example of blatant lies used by politicians to get elected and totally fuckover their country.

36, Canadian, 10/10 would recommend. Winter driving is way more fun with manual, and it can be a lot easier on gas if you're in the mood.

Whenever humans aglomerate, non productive humans require handouts to live. If they do not receive then they die. If they don’t want to die, they will steal.

Yeah, we know, politicians.

Docker kinda does it by being like an app store but for servers. It's not very flexible but everyone using a particular image gets the same experience.

I find most laptops are well supported about a year after their release.

I had one of those recently with MicroPython. Turns out I am the only person to ever run out of memory on an ESP8266.

The last Eternal September was June of 2007. The iPhone gave an internet connection to users not because they wanted one and were interested in participating and contributing, but as an app. A way to passively consume online content for quick entertainment. Ever since then everything has been progressively forced towards app format, so that 99% of users don't ever meaningfully contribute in anyway. Upvote, downvote, "this" in the comments and then off to the next app.
