SDR content is not accurate in Dolby Vision mode. Thats it. It also increases energy consumption unnecessarily.

Why can iPhones seamlessly switch between resolutions, framerates, and dynamic ranges, but not Apple TV? in c/[email protected]

Because iPhone doesnt use HDMI.
