THANKS. I didn't get the flag joke at first @[email protected]

This weekend there is a planned "MAGA Boat Parade" across Lake St. Clair to celebrate Donald Trump's birthday. Some local Libertarians, in honor of nominating the gayest presidential candidate in American history, want to give them a nice friendly Detroit welcome with Chase Oliver's Big Gay Boat Ride.

Would you like to help out?

Do you have a boat(s) that would like to host such a big gay ride?

Can you help out with: 1. Rainbow Flags and Decorations: Adorn the boat with rainbow flags and other LGBTQ+ symbols to make it stand out and convey a message of pride and inclusion.

Music and Dancing: we want upbeat music and to encourage dancing. A legit DJ would be awesome

Drag Performers?: Any local drag queens and kings to perform. This would be fabulous ha

Inclusion and Unity: We want to Make sure to emphasize messages of love, unity, and acceptance and Have signs and banners that promote these values.

Safety? PFDs and other safety gear are always welcome

Things to Avoid: [A.] Confrontation: We want to focus on creating a positive and joyful experience.

[B.]Exclusion: We want to Make sure the event is inclusive and welcoming to all, even if you are not Libertarian, or don't want to vote for Chase Oliver, we want everyone to have a good time regardless of their political views or backgrounds. EVERYONE WELCOME #NoNazis

A good over view on recent organizing failure. It all sounds easy stuff we learned in OT101 but it's so easy to fall for something shiny.

If one where to think that Trump where the lesser of two evils would you discourage them from voting Libertarian?

For most people a vote for Trump or Biden is actually a wasted vote. Most states are solidly Blue or Red so voting R/D won't change anything. It is far more likely that your single vote for a new Party's candidate will get them over the threshold to maintain ballot access for the following election cycle, than your vote for an old Party's candidate will get them over the threshold to receive the plurality of the vote. Maintaining ballot access for new parties allows them to spend more money the next time actually getting out their message and building votes rather than having to spend most of it paying petitioners to get back on the ballot again. Eventually this could lead to a more representative multi-party system in the USA. But treating every election as "the most important election of our lifetime" and refusing to vote for a candidate that more closely represents your values rather than the one more likely to beat the candidate you dislike most, purpurates the system of abuse. Its like a person returning to their previous partner that verbally abuses them because they fear their partner that physically abuses them.

The fact anyone ever thought this was for any reason other than making it easier to hide your porn browsing history from your mom is just silly.

“Tax the rich” is an all too common refrain on the left which, thanks to left unity, has even been echoed by many self-proclaimed anarchists. “Taxation is theft” on the other hand is a slogan many anarchists are hesitant to repeat due to its association with right-libertarians despite it being far more consistent with anarchist ideals. When taxation is the main funding source for the military police state with only crumbs going towards an extremely inadequate welfare plantation system, why would anarchists want any more funding to go towards that no matter who’s fronting the bill?

What is fast fashion?

The American Hockey League established a new record for attendance in a single regular season as more than 6.8 million fans attended AHL games across North America in 2023-24.

The total of 6,822,875 fans in 1,152 games represented an increase of 5.0 percent over last season. The previous attendance record of 6,693,526 was established in 2015-16.

In addition, average per-game attendance in 2023-24 was 5,922, the third-highest mark in league history.

The Cleveland Monsters led the league in attendance for the fourth time in the last five seasons by drawing 10,347 fans per game to Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, the highest average attendance by an AHL team in 25 years. The Hershey Bears (9,439), Laval Rocket (9,256), Chicago Wolves (8,984) and Coachella Valley Firebirds (8,844) rounded out the top five.

Twenty-six of the league’s 32 teams saw an increase in attendance in their home rink from last season, led by Laval (+21.0%) and the Hartford Wolf Pack (+17.4%). The Colorado Eagles sold out all 36 of their home games at the 5,089-seat Blue Arena, and the Springfield Thunderbirds played to 93.1 percent capacity at the 6,793-seat MassMutual Center, including 14 consecutive sellouts to finish the season.

In operation since 1936, the American Hockey League continues to serve as the top development league for all 32 National Hockey League teams. Nearly 90 percent of all players competing in the NHL are AHL graduates, and through the years the American Hockey League has been home to more than 100 honored members of the Hockey Hall of Fame. The 2024 Calder Cup Playoffs begin Tuesday.

I don't trustpoliticianns to be farsighted than enough to run such well. But if we keep the politicians out and allow the workers to seize the telecommunications systems from the bosses free of consequence, that might actually work.

Its almost like they should just remove migration restrictions and allow people to move freely instead of politicians playing politics to get the votes of stupid old people.

"There are more people working than ever before" that is exactly what economists mean when they say there is a labor shortage, there are not many unemployed people. Higher wages alone won't change that. It mostly just shifts around who is employed by whom. To actually build a larger work force you need not only higher wages, but making it easier for those who don't work to do so like young people and those currently residing in other countries.

Money alone isn’t enough to secure the $US325,000 ($505,000) hardcore coupe, with Ford asking potential buyers to make a pitch on why they should have the privilege of owning one.

How is this legal?

The sad part about this is there are like 50 years of back content so the boss has a lot less at stake than the workers.

Several globally recognized media outlets have reported this week that based on the U.S. release of the 2024 Adherence to and Compliance with Arms Control, Nonproliferation, and Disarmament Agreements and Commitments there is proof that North Korea has bioweapons that they didn't have before. I tracked down the actual report, which none of the news sources I saw actually linked to, but I still have no clue how they determined this and if its accurate or not.

What do you think?
