I’ve been collecting genealogical data for the last 15 years. You better believe I keep that organized, otherwise I would be screwed.

Best way to configure a NAS for the safest, most reliable (as in will not become unusable, not necessarily worried about potential downtime) and least succesptible to ransom? by matt95110 in c/main@selfhosted.forum

Maybe you could try encrypting a volume that you will only use for backups and leave it unmounted when you aren’t using it?
