Storage is cheap whwn it comes to webhosting and 3 replicas is honestly not much when it comes to enterprise standards. I think cloud storage providers like backblaze keep something like 9 copies of data across different mediums

Yeah I need to find a new job soon, like things are going Bad at the company and it's not looking good for anyone.

I've wanted to find a new job for well over 6 months, but I just don't have it in me to study after work or on the weekends.

Its like I've got burn out handcuffs or something.

Kagi (a paid search engine) has a "fediverse forums" filter option.

If it's open source, could someone potentially develop an app for it to control devices in home assistant? Would love to be able to control my room lights from my watch, and don't think it's possible on my Xiaomi watch fit 3 connected to gadgetbridge.

I recognize that there would also need to be work done in the app to support this as the watch only supports BLE

That's presently what I'm using, but I have added the mull version of the arkenfox user.js via Firefox devtools.

Fennec does release updates a bit slower than mull did via DivestOS's repo, unfortunately, and doesn't have a build up for these CVE's as of yet. Granted, I don't think FF android has these updates yet, but I feel like I remember Mull's updates making it to my device faster than FF's even, as they didn't need to go through external review processes.

Is there some meme I'm unaware of, or are all of these other commenters bots?

The appointment of Elon Musk to lead the proposed department of government efficiency raises concerns, given his track record of business management.

His handling of Twitter/X after its $44 billion acquisition has resulted in a significant decline in its value, with some sources putting the valuation around $9bn.

Doesn't seem very efficient to me.

Honestly one of my favorite uses for AI at this point. Summarizing videos and extracting key points to scan as opposed to watching long videos.

There should really be push notifications around installed apps with known vulns... Its tracked here: https://forum.f-droid.org/t/vulnerability-warnings-in-f-droid-app/20505

Could someone with a gitlab account open a feature request on the f droid repo?

I tried to open an account but it required email + cell phone (it picked up my VoIP number) and a credit card....

EDIT: I generated an RSS feed based off of Mozilla's known vuln list. If anyone knows of a better way to do this, please let me know!

i downloaded it after the news the other day. Presently uploading >200gb of pictures.

Android App has a few quirks, not very snappy, but it looks pretty polished.

The on device ML seems to be pretty accurate once you start tagging people.

We'll see how it handles me throwing the 200gb at it because it was already stuttering a bit when scrolling through ~15gb of pics.

I havent had the chance to spin up an immich instance yet to compare the two.

All in all, we might need to wait for a longer term user to chime in, but as of now to me it seems good enough.

Edit: 2 weeks later. I installed immich on a proxmox node with a rtx 2060 super passed through. it flies compared to ente, which is to be expected as immich isnt e2ee. I will most likely maintain both libraries for now, but Immich is definitely a more complete product.

Basically looking for an open source alternative to google my maps, to plan out trips or share recommendations with friends.

I've tried using uMap (OSM) for mexico city, but it has a lot of missing or outdated data.

Hi, all!

Aurora has mainly been rendered useless to me, since they started banning/ratelimiting a lot of the accounts in use on that platform.

I mainly stick to FOSS apps, but for instances where that isnt feasible, it was nice to be able to fall back on aurora store.

Any suggestions?

Wild that it's legal for a full on company to publically request free work.

Shit, a majority of interns are paid.
