Dems lost in 2016 because they chose to run Hillary Clinton over Bernie Sanders.

Dems lost in 2024 because they chose to run a black female over someone who actually cared about the working class.

The democrat constituency isn't as stupid as the democrat party would like to believe. We recognize how the people in power think we'll vote for someone just because their a minority, regardless of what their economic policy actually is.

Democrats would run the country if there wasn't a sizeable amount of voters only prioritizing candidates that won't raise their taxes or the taxes of people richer than them.

Should be Lemmy over piefed.

Thanks for pointing this out.

This "sign up to view" nonsense needs to end. Whoever suggested it should be tarred and feathered.

Pretty sure this is paid propaganda.

Stupid people do.

Valve isn't forcing anyone to use their platform.

If Steam's terms aren't satisfactory for developers, then they don't have to use Steam.

Epic would charge Steam's fees if they had Steam's marketshare.

Everyone thinking they care about creators or customers is a fucking moron.

I feel like nobody is really connecting the dots here.

All these people in positions of power knew what Epstein was doing, but none of them told us.

We had to find out for ourselves.

Exactly. Zionists believe they're entitled to Israel just like Nazis believe "Aryans" were entitled to the Rhineland.

Supporting either should be grounds for imprisonment.

alleges Valve "forces" game publishers to sign up to conditions which prevents them from selling their titles earlier or for less on rival platforms.

As always, these moves are being perpetuated by scumbags who just want to make more money without putting in any additional effort.

If Steam is worth releasing a game on in the eyes of the developers, then they have to pay the price to do it. If it's not worth the price, then they are under no obligation at all to release their game on Steam.

Most games on Steam fail to gain any traction. If your game fails, it's not because it isn't on Steam; it's because it's a pile of shit and you're not special because you made something.

The distro shouldn't matter too much, but the desktop environment will.

I recommend using KDE if you want something similar to Windows, and GNOME if you want something similar to macOS.

Using a GUI also isn't really dependent on the DE either for most programs. It's dependent on whether or not a GUI for it exists in the first place.
