The two I've found for out of the box hosting that accept crypto

GTXgaming : Accept Bitcoin with the automated system, accept XMR with a human ticket, require voluntary KYC on account creation, but none of it verified other then a email check. The game panel services work well, but have a very much built in the 90s vibe to them.

AleForge : Accept a bunch of cryptos with a automated system (btc, xmr, etc), requires voluntary KYC on account creation, but only email verification. The game panel services feel much more modern, but lack some features that GTX has (being ancient has an advantage, like more seamless service upgrades).

These are the only ones I've found, after checking every factorio hosting service I could find listed that actually accepted crypto; I'd love to have more options going forward - especially with less friction.

If you buy the same printer in different counties do the dots persist or change?

[–] [email protected] 7 points 2 days ago (1 children)

100% this. You could only print black and white on that printer and you would still be low on cyan.

I think, the fact that people have fruit at home, bananas even, and don't eat them. Is a sign that mammalian brain is working. A banana is basically sugar, and your body's like... I'm good on sugar thanks.

Don't blame the delicious meat patty, wholesome cheese slice, immaculate bacon, and impeachable runny egg for the damage the bun and fries do!

This is awesome, I'm glad you had a good time!

Burying a body with friends isn't hard, or even uncommon. Getting them to never talk about it .. that's hard

The side with the power button is now the top. There is no ports or io on the bottom.

Just from a game theory perspective, a distributed group of people who are unorganized are unable to get their concerns addressed properly when it comes time to writing tax laws.

The rich and powerful, by virtue of being rich and powerful, have a voice in writing the tax laws. The distributed poor, do not. So it's much easier to satisfy income goals by taxing the group who has no feedback loop to the politicians

Heat soak. A laptop may be expected to run 24/7. The larger bricks can dissipate the heat. A GaN charger can do it as well, but most of them have a heat soak point where they stop delivering full power

Really well written. The USB power delivery specification allows devices to negotiate different voltages. That's why if you have a device of multiple ports, and you plug in a new device to charge, all of the devices stopped charging for a moment will they negotiate again.

I'll add, a lot of the phone chargers cannot sustain their maximum power output all day. They're going to soak in heat, the large bricks are also a function of heat dissipation anticipating 24/7 usage

Let's suppose we could dump enough "breathable" air (whatever that means for humans) into the solar system that it filled the spaces between planets.

What would happen?

A - I imagine it would then become possible to fly airplanes between planets, perhaps balloons? Would space travel become easier or harder?

B - According to another lemmy post, we would start to hear sound waves from the sun (A constant jackhammer sound - delightful)

C - Each each planet become the center of some mega cyclone (like the Jupiter storms, but bigger)?

D - At some point the air above us wouldn't be pushing down onto the earth at sea level, could we survive the additional pressure?

7/10, no notes

I've decided to do my first Babylon 5 rewatch!

Lets have a binge thread to talk about B5!

I would love to find a 4k remaster of the series, there are some great demo videos on youtube, but on the streaming sites I can only find 720p. If you have any trouble choosing which streaming service to use just search for fmhy and they will have a curated list of options.

TV shows were wild back then, 22 episodes per season, 45 minutes each; 1000 minutes per season!

Watch the film, don't read the plot synopsis!

Scifi, future, humanity themes

Excellent Film, well worth watching and thinking about.

7.5/10 on https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6499752/

Now that Borderlands has hit the "streaming" services in high quality, I've watched it.

It's reasonable for a second screen show at 2x speed in the background. It might even get some popularity over time.

Concord is very polished. But it still seems fairly contained, a bunch of heroes, a handful of maps. Where did the 8 years go?

Firewalk studios has 169 employees as far as i can tell.

They use unreal engine, no single player campaign

Where did the time go?

Linking directly to a very relevant time stamp.

Let's not tempt fate....

From the YouTube channel of spaceman, 34k. A very thoughtful analysis of the magic behind the movie.
