The disgraced and despised British entertainer’s distinctive look is trending among some film fans on TikTok. Should somebody tell them what he did?

The Thing is a beloved horror classic, but it wrote and filmed several different endings, all of which miss the point of the film and make it worse.

You know, that game where you kill people by impaling them on giant hooks.

I don't think this a bad thing, let another director give it a go.

An interesting new take on Trek includes some characters you already know.

I thought it was pretty good. Watched it in the cinema, I didn't regret it.

I don't think it was the best movie of 2025, but it was entertaining and relatively well made and somewhat original.

It works great, I've been using a Pi SBC for torrenting for nearly 10 years now (in addition to NAS, a media server, Pi-Hole and more).

I would strongly recommend going with DietPi. It has a great set of custom CLI management tools, very active developers and a relatively large community (150K+ installatios active last quarter). It's based on Debian for ARM so it has a solid foundation.

Released in 2025, U Are the Universe taps into Ukraine's wartime experiences, offering a sci-fi narrative that mirrors the nation's struggles after the war.

I thought The Autopsy of Jane Doe was pretty good, I was expecting less. I thought I would like The Last Voyage of the Demeter more than I did. It started well, but then second part of the movie wasn't all that engaging.

I will be watching Passenger.

This is really good if you like sci-fi action b-movies.

Something like Qbittorrent-Nox or rTorrent/ruTorrent for Gnutella would be great.

The use of Limewire in this context seems to be more of an interesting news novelty.

That being said, in any democratic leaning country that truly values freedom (in the real sense, not the polemical American sense), the distribution of such media would not be an issue and you wouldn't have to resort to Limewire, a torrent would suffice or even another broadcast TV network would air with violation of copyright.

Pretty slow move. 2029 is nearly 25 years since YT founding (and streaming existed around ~10 years before that; remember RealPlayer?).

Re-watched The Usual Suspects, the initial setup with five criminals getting connected during a police crackdown is compelling (it turns out the movie was developed based on the initial scene in the poster with the line up). The acting is also strong with Gabriel Byrne, Benicio Del Toro and even Stephen Baldwin doing a great job. Chazz Palminteri plays to his typecast, but it works well.

I also personally appreciate the 90s cinematography, scene design and the score.

I have to say the main hook and ending seem very contrived (much more so when I first watched the movie in the early 2000s). It does not seem convincing, well connected criminals usually have state backing rather than being a "ghost". And a senior criminal would not directly involve themselves in an assassination attempt or risk third parties acting in an independent manner. The behaviour of the police was also unconvincing.

Spacey's presence also taints the movie in a way that it did not on the initial viewing.

That being said, it's a solid 6/10 action packed, crime thriller. You could do a lot worse.

You can stream popular torrents. It can be challenging with more niche content (unless you're on private trackers), but you're not going to find niche content streams in the first place.

For me personally, the OG pirating was buying bootleg VHSs/CDs/DVDs. But torrenting/P2P was the first mass scale digital piracy method.

It's still somewhat big in certain regions, even younger people torrent (although streaming piracy is more popular).
