The knowledge of production is an integral part of the means of production and they can't be separated.

The whole post dot com era has been an experiment in doing that and it's failed spectacularly. If only there was a book about how Capital works that explained this relationship in detail...

So... When you're blanket banned from food stores where do you get your food?

I guess you just have to steal it.

Bill Burr is just 70s union guy or the lovable uncle that will use correct pronouns for people, but also still talk about how much he loves women with a bush.

Or even a 93%

AND the 0% for strongly approve

The establishment reaction to overwhelming democratic consensus on this issue is indefensible. It's not something you can wait out like an economy, it's gonna weigh heavy on a whole generation

Didn't expect the Economist to put out such a positive story about China

Hey it's like Bush's policies but more conservative

They almost never include necessities in these calculations. To them the real measure of economic activity is the price of 65" TVs dropping 10%, not rent going up 100% or housing prices going up 200-300%, or food prices going up 60%.

Hey, you can get a smart TV for 85% the adjusted price of one last year and wages have gone up .8% on average meaning you can open another tv! Why are you complaining?

Reminder that this video is by Second Though, a well known fascist who constantly does apologia for North Korea and the genocides during the Soviet Union.

He is incapable of critically looking at anything without doing actual, unironic genocide denial.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Also banned

Communist

gargantuan-bronze-lenin-head

We're just a bunch of nerds that read the news and lots of political and economic theory, have a good understanding of the history of capitalism and class consciousness.

It's not ideologically anarchist, it's aesthetically anarchist. Which is why they latch on to a century old conflict between anarchists and Marxist leninists in Spain instead of actually applying any sort of critical rigor to their interactions with the world.

Not really much else to say. Just that I find the similarities funny.

They seem to think that being an Anarchist just means being anti-communist. To the point that they are literally parroting fascist taking points about "our people". As if Jackson killing millions of Native Americans to steal their land is somehow not as bad as mismanagement of agricultural policy during a drought/famine? Because Jackson only oppressed the other right. Because a leader's job isn't to build a better world by harnessing the labor and skills of all people, but to either exterminate the other to protect their own or liquidate nature and the proletariat for profit

My little brother just died. They found him dead on his back porch. Doesn't look like any foul play was involved, but there was a ton of Unisom and Phenibut in his apartment.

I'd never heard of it before today.

Here's a full story

Ionia County Judge Ray Voet said the accident was a “horrible tragedy” but didn't warrant jail or probation for Darin Wilbur (Owner)

If a homeless man sneezed on someone he'd be calling for the death penalty.

“Two months later, we wouldn’t even be here,” the judge said, noting that the teen soon would have turned 18 years old.

The $1100 fine for permanently disabiling a child was too much.

Defense attorney Howard Van Den Heuvel said Wilbur hired the teen, a high school dropout, as a way to help him. He said the boy was warned to never put his hand inside the grinder.

Blame the child who lost their hand to a greedy boss.

It's really fun when they get into the computing requirements of planning an economy using the Harmony algorithm/neural network. They keep talking about things in millions of operations per second and how a super computer could solve a large economy in about 10 minutes.

When you take these numbers now and apply them to current consumer grade chips, you could take their exact model and solve an economy with several million inputs/outputs in roughly 1 second. Compared to the 2-10 weeks it would take on a 68020.

It's really sad that the mass adoption of computing has led to things like NFTs and Crypto Currency. Just absolutely wasted operations that do nothing but waste means of production and fractional products. Those trillions of operations could be going towards simulating production goals in central planning. 1, 5, 10, and 15 year plans could be generated in seconds now and presented to all for vibrant democratic input and decision making, instead were using deterministic machines to recreate the chaos of market systems and the runaway crises that come with them.

I know it's a TV show and this is a movie comm, but I just finished the show and wanted to get some chapo opinions on it. It's got some good bits and I overall enjoyed it. Just feels like it started off pretty strong with Johnny having to start working and then trying to get on unemployment to feed his family. Over time it just seems to give up on that aspect and makes all the characters comfortable petite bourgeoisie that somehow just have infinite money. Then they do the whole venture capitalist bit, but in like a "gentrification is good" way and reveal that the server who everyone treats like shit is actually a secret millionaire that could have solved all the towns financial problems but didn't?

I liked some of the portrayals of sexuality and the complexity of relationships, but the show falls flat when it comes to any sort of social critique of capitalism, which is odd because the setup seems to be exactly that.
